How Does the BioMat Work?
Different than a heating pad or electric blanket, which uses AC electricity and electric coils to create heat, the Biomat® uses a 17-layer combination of natural fabrics and amethyst crystals to generate far infrared rays (FIR) which is then transferred to the body as heat. The heat comes from friction generated within the body through the effects of far infrared rays (simulated sunlight). Far infrared rays warm the body from the inside out, whereas a heating pad just heats the surface of the body. When on the BioMat, heat shock protein production occurs which results in a thermotherapy treatment. It penetrates 5-6 inches into the innermost recesses of the body to stimulating healing, reduce pain, detox the body, and regeneration of nerves and muscle tissue layers. In addition, the BioMat has special layers of fabric in conjunction with the BioMat EMF Interceptor effectively reduce electromagnetic waves.

Far Infrared:
The FIR is both an electromagnetic wave and an energy wave. Depending on its frequency, there are intermediate waves and short frequency waves. Long frequency waves are considered to be beneficial to our body. It provides warmth and relaxation similar to the energy that radiates from the sun. These rays not only benefit muscles on the surface of the body, but all cells and bodily tissues in the deepest parts of the body. The far infrared heat energy penetrates deeply into the tissue (5-6 inches), which then activates water molecules within the cell creating a vibrational resonance that pushes out toxins stored in cells.

The BioMat: Uses
Professional BioMat: Therapeutic Mat
The Biomat® uses a combination of fabrics and amethyst stones to generate far infrared rays which is then transferred to the body as heat. The heat comes from friction generated within the body through the effects of far infrared rays. Far infrared rays warm the inside of your body and the part of your body making contact with the Biomat®. Should the temperature of any part of the Biomat® exceed the set temperature, the thermal sensors distributed throughout the Biomat® will cut off the electric current. When the Biomat® reaches the selected temperature, the E.D.N.I. lights on the controller will come on and will stay on until the Biomat® needs to raise the temperature. This controller converts AC electricity to DC and allows you to adjust the desired temperature and usage time (between 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours). As an added safety feature, when the controller is set to 131°F or higher, it will automatically step down to 113°F after 4 hours. Used for detoxing, healing, pain, inflammation, sleep and effective for ADHD and Autism.
Mini BioMat: Therapeutic Mini Version of the Professional
The Mini BioMat is a smaller version of the Professional Biomat and offers the same therapeutic benefits. The Mini has both tourmaline and amethyst channels within the mat.
